    Michael Chan is Senior Vice President of the Market Development Division of HKEX who heads the international issuer marketing efforts. Michael is mainly focused on market development work promoting the Hong Kong listing platform and origination work attracting international companies to list in Hong Kong. In addition to leading the marketing efforts globally and working closely with prospects and constituents, Michael often speaks and serves as panelist and keynote speaker at major conferences and events locally and internationally. Prior to his current role, Michael has worked at the Listing Division of HKEX for 8 years covering areas of compliance, corporate governance, regulatory and IPO-related matters.

    Prior to joining HKEX, Michael has worked at various financial institutions in corporate finance and business development. Michael has more than 17 years of experience in financial services and regulatory work.

    Tony is an accomplished entrepreneur based in Hong Kong. His most recent venture Asia Pioneer Entertainment is a casino equipment supplier based in Macau recently listed via IPO on the Hong Kong stock exchange GEM market (HK:8400). At APE, as well as being a controlling shareholder, Tony is serving as CFO.

    With an early career in background in Thomson Reuters, UBS and in offshore fiduciary services and banking covering Greater China, Tony started one of the first online stock trading brokerages at the beginning of the internet era and later joined the Finet (HK:8317) - one of HK's first financial information portals leading them through series B financing and then to a GEM IPO listing.

    Tony also has invested in other ventures in healthtech, musictech as well as land and property development.

    Tony’s key interests are helping other entrepreneurs through their startup path and contributing his experiences back to the startup ecosystem. He is a founding member of TiE HK chapter, a committee member since 2016 and current President-Elect. He has bachelors and masters degrees in international management from Strathclyde University, Scotland and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
